Corey MacDonald, Esq.
Attorney Corey F. MacDonald founded his firm as MacDonald Law in 2005. Merging with Attorney Timothy Black in 2012, MacDonald & Black was formed.
Mr. MacDonald’s law practice is a unique blend of courtroom experience and boardroom savvy. As a sports attorney, he has represented organizations and individuals associated with the sporting world. In addition to representing individual clients, Mr. MacDonald has served as counsel to USA rugby’s national governing bodies. Sought out for his complex trial skills, he has represented people going through some of life’s most difficult hurdles to include complex family law cases and unique criminal charges. In addition, Mr. MacDonald actively serves as outside general counsel to corporations both domestic and international in the footwear and medical supply fields.
Prior to entering the practice of law full-time, Mr. MacDonald served for over 18 years in law enforcement. His career spanned the profession from police officer to detective and finally to Deputy Chief of Police of a 115 person department. Mr. MacDonald was appointed as the Commander of the State of New Hampshire’s Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task force where he served the State for three years.
In addition, Mr. MacDonald served as the City Prosecutor handling hundreds of cases at the district court and circuit court level ranging from driving while intoxicated to manslaughter. As the cities supervising prosecuting attorney, MacDonald developed city sentencing guidelines and supervised all subordinate attorneys and prosecutorial staff, earning a city citation for major prosecutorial overhauls.
Since 2006, MacDonald has taught law enforcement, public officials and attorneys across the country on topics to include internet crime, school law and safety, drug enforcement, online social networking investigations and media relations. He has served as a consultant and specialist to companies and entities seeking to resolve sensitive internal situations and to provide analysis of current practices.
In 2011, MacDonald was named as one of New Hampshire’s “Top 40 Under Forty” emerging leaders by the New Hampshire Union Leader and NH Business and Industry Association. In 2013, he was named as a “Top 10 to Watch” by Seacoast Online and Catapult. In 2014, he was awarded the “Young Professional of the Year” award by New Hampshire Governor Maggie Hassan through the Stay Work Play initiative and Rising Stars.
MacDonald has been featured on the television shows, Wired with Jim Braude on NECN, Fox News, The 207 Show on NBC and the Paul Sullivan Radio Show on WBZ Boston as well as working with ABC News on their 20/20 Program on the rising heroin epidemic in 2014.
